Archery Hunters vs. Meth Labs - Showdown in the Timber

"Killing a deer was natural; killing a man was different. Alone and outnumbered, Jack and Sean Thomas use camouflage and arrows to survive in the timber of Northern Missouri. While archery hunting for white tail deer, Jack and Sean cross paths with Wilcox, a psychotic crystal meth dealer. Wilcox and his cadre of cops gone bad will stop at nothing to cover his tracks, and Jack will stop at nothing to protect his son. After a betrayed Latino crime boss from Kansas City gets involved, the pursuit becomes convoluted as the hunters become the hunted. Jack draws first blood with a razor-tipped shaft, and Wilcox responds with jacketed lead. To survive the day, Jack must overcome the moral dilemma of taking human life without remorse. Becoming invisible is Jack and Sean’s only hope, so they blend with the timber and become TIMBER GHOSTS

- "It was great having you on the show. The book is really a great read, having a good time reading it! Keep in touch, and keep writing those great novels."

- "I just finished “Timber Ghosts” by Robert L. Hannah and was very impressed. ... The action starts on page one and never stops ...I highly recommend this novel to anyone who loves a good story of action, adventure and intrigue. And it’s not just for hunters; it’s for anyone who loves their family ..."

Roy VanDerLinden - Author - "The Darking"
- "Mucho Macho Action! Quick, intense read! If you like blood and guts, you'll love this one..."

Aaron Teague : - Aaron's On-line Review - Click Here
- "...This book is a good, fast read that is obviously written by someone with a love for, and lots of experience with, bowhunting...What this book does deliver is a good, well written story. I kind of wish that I had waited to read it until I was in the hunting blind later this month. It would be an excellent book for that."

Gregg Bruce : - Gregg Bruce Auto - Click Here : 3rd Degree Black Belt - Kenpo Karate
- "Excellent story, quite a few surprizes, awesome descriptive writing, was a real page-turner. I read the whole second half of the book in one sitting, I just couldn't put it down. I think it teaches good values by what to do and what NOT to do in life. Once you get to know the characters, it reads very easy.
GREAT STORY TELLING!!!"

D. Greg Gary, CEO
- "I have just finished reading “Timber Ghosts by Robert L. Hannah a couple of weeks ago. Although I read many books through out a year, I don’t read very much fiction. I do read all of John Grisham’s books and I will tell you that Mr. Hannah was able to hold my attention equally as well. The story was an easy and enjoyable read and it was obvious that the author had a great love of bow hunting and the outdoors. Just as I am always anxious for the next story by Mr. Grisham, I will be greatly anticipating more from Robert L. Hannah also."

Sean Jeffries - WINGSHOOTERS.NET  Sean's On-Line Review - Click Here
- "… the story rushes forth to its climax with enough twists and turns to make author Jeffery Deaver jealous.  The pace never slows down … It's well written and exciting.  It's a great story to take along in a deer stand this season … The only problem is that you may not be able to tear yourself away from the story to remember to look around once in awhile.  "

Gwen Pote
-"… once I got past the first chapter, I was hooked...The suspenseful climax is not for the weak of heart, but I wasn’t able to put down the book until I’d finished it...It will entertain you and keep you on the edge of your seat."

Cindy Graf
-"...once I picked it up I could not put it down! ...I read it straight through. ...Can't wait for another book from Hannah, and will be promoting this one to all my friends. Great story, believable characters and an ending twist which could catch you off guard.

Author Bio:

I've been a hunter most of my life. Starting at age twelve in Pennsylvania, my dad taught me how to hunt deer, pheasant, rabbit and squirrel. I didn't discover archery hunting until about 1990 or so; I was in my thirties at the time. It quickly became my passion. The thrill of the hunt is compounded when you can hear the game breathe while you remain invisible. My time in the timber of northern Missouri was the catalyst for TIMBER GHOSTS.

In 1983, I earned a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State. Upon graduation in 1983, I moved to Frederick, Maryland to work as a engineer. My three sons, Sean, Mike and Ryan were born in Maryland. Since 1994, I've lived in Lenexa, Kansas with my wife, Audrey, and four children. Rachel, my daughter was born in Missouri.

In 2000, I started taking karate lessons with my three sons. In June 2003, I earned a first degree black belt in Kenpo Karate from AKKA- American Kenpo Karate Academy. In June 2005, I earned a second degree black belt.

I've been involved in the Boy Scouts of America program since 1995. In 1997, I became the Den Leader for my twin sons' Webelo Den; I repeated that role in 2001 for Ryan. In 2004, I became an Assistant Scout Master for Troop 201 and, I also became an adult adivsor for Venture Crew 2201.

The writing bug bit me in about 1996 or so. My first novel "Accountable" is awaiting a rewrite, a long overdue rewrite. TIMBER GHOSTS is my second novel and was published in 2005. My third novel "Misery Bay" is going through my final edit and will be submitted soon.

Thanks,
Bob
